Jayne has worked with children and young people for over 20 years!
She qualified as a Primary School Teacher in 1997. During her career her roles included: Behaviour Manager, Nurture Teacher, Head of Science, Learning Mentor as well as being a Class Teacher across all year groups. She was also a member of Senior Leadership Teams.
She stopped teaching in 2005 to start a family and then in 2006 she moved to New York for 3 years for her husband’s work.
Jayne returned to the UK in 2009, where she resumed her career as a Nurture Teacher in North London. In 2012, she returned to a school in Edgware, where she had previously taught at the beginning of her teaching career. Here she created a curriculum for children aged between 5 and 11 years old, enabling them to discover their own individual talents and develop their self esteem and confidence. She also enjoyed her role of supporting individual children as a Learning Mentor.
In 2014 Jayne moved to the New Forest where she became an Outdoor Teacher at a Study Centre, developing her passion for education in a natural environment. Watching young people take risks safely, develop endurance and mentally relax made her realise the importance of nature and its powerful link to mental health and wellbeing.
It has become more apparent to Jayne that young people benefit from early emotional support and guidance. This led her to train as a NLP Practitioner.
The contribution of her many years as an experienced teacher, her love of the great outdoors, her NLP Practitioner accreditation and her mission to support young people in finding their happy, confident selves has resulted in the launch of Jayne's company.
Jayne is a qualified teacher with BA (hons) QTS (Qualified Teaching Status) and a NLP Practitioner. She also has Level 2 certifications in Self-Harm and Suicide Awareness and Children and Young People’s Mental Health.
