SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WITH THEIR MENTAL WELLBEING
SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE AND FAMILIES WITH THEIR MENTAL WELLBEING
As mental health is becoming more readily discussed, young people are talking about their struggles when dealing with different pressures as they try and make sense of their world around them. Working with young people and families throughout her career has shown Jayne that all young people are unique and see their environment in their own way. At times, life can become confusing and overwhelming and by acknowledging their already brilliant selves, we can work with them to make sense of their thoughts/limiting beliefs and enable them to tackle their world in a positive way.
By using a powerful blend of tools including NLP strategies and outdoor activities before these pressures build up, our young people can continue on their journey to adult life with a tool kit to help navigate their way.
Jayne's background is in teaching and outdoor education. She is also a qualified NLP Practitioner which compliments her teaching and pastoral skills.
N= NEURO
This refers to our neurological systems, us experiencing our world through our senses and making internal representations from this data. This can come from our memories too. When this system is activated, it affects our physiology, emotions and behaviours.
L=Linguistic
The language we use to make sense of our world, our internal map. How we use our words and our body language can influence our overall experiences.
P=Programming
Our internal processes and strategies that we use to make decisions, solve problems, learn, evaluate and get results.
One of the great things about NLP is that there is no need to explain why you are feeling a particular way. The focus is on what you want and how we can achieve that. By connecting with what you want to change instead of what you do not want, you can totally make it happen.
